We need to be able to indicate where a new paragraph should begin in the Explanation of Changes. Right now, when Review Return is used to show the Explanation of Changes, it differs from the Explanation of Changes from the pdf that is printed when it is to be filed.

Inporting K1Discussion ongoing

I have 15 K1 slips from 3rd Parties that I do not file the 1065 returns for.  It would be great if I could import K1 from pdf generated outside proconnect into a personal tax return directly. this would avoid transcription errors and reduce the time to input K1 information directly.

Printing K-1 Package with Partners' nameDiscussion ongoing

I very much appreciate the File\Print\Print Selected Forms\K-1 Only | choose Partners.  I use both TaxAct and Pro Series, mostly Pro Series for more than 250 1065 Partnerships.  I would like to see the K-1/K-3 package printed, when you choose one or all partners to Print as an example: Entity Name Joe Partner K1 2024, Entity Name Jane M Partner K1 2024, etc.

Clear Rejected ReturnsDiscussion ongoing

My OCD is going nuts because I continue to have these bright red "Rejected" returns at the top of the screen! While I 100% appreciate the way it informs me that I have a newly rejected return, I want a way to clear them out!!!! I've had multiple returns that required paper filing, so those error don't get resolved according to the software. PLEASE give me a way to clear these so I have the satisfaction of not seeing RED.

Calculate penalty and interest on amended returnsImplemented

Need to be able to calculate penalty and interest on amended returns. The less notices clients receive, the better. I also don't see a way to enter it manually for amended returns. So even if I calculated on my own, I'm out of luck. If this is "Industry-leading professional income tax software for individual or business returns" then it should have the ability to calculate interest and penalties on anything I want, without having to always look up interest rates too. Please.

MARYLAND 500UPDiscussion ongoing

Please implement Form 500UP to the partnership module for PTE MD state payments.  As it stands it is part of the S-Corp and Corp module.  The 500UP is applicable to partnerships!  I just got a notice from MD that these penalties were not calculated on a prior year return.

Email us if a tax return is rejected. Seriously can't be that hard.Implemented

I toggle between ITO and Lacerte and wouldn't mind if I got an email notification that a return was rejected, and also I'm slightly OCD, so if there was a way to clear rejections, I won't have to log in years from now and see red rejects from previous years.

"ProConnect Tax Online only supports the electronic filing of one single member LLC. All additional LLC's will need to opt out of electronic filing." Please give functionality to e-file multiple LLCs.

Email a notification to the taxpayer acknowledging that their tax return, extension, 114, etc, has been accepted. I have received numerous emails, "just checking to see if my extension was filed."

Setting to print all returns in UPPERCASEImplemented

It would be a great global setting to be able to print all return in uppercase/all caps.  Having to select this option for every return one-by-one is tedious.  Thank you.

PricingImplemented

Please consider an unlimited price for those firms that would want it. Every other software has this option. At a minimum, I believe any unused returns should roll over to the next year. Terribly unfair that I paid for but can't use returns because I estimated incorrectly. Plus, if I knew it would roll over, I'd be inclined to buy more so I don't have to deal with buying ore in the heat of Tax Season when I run out. So many times I'm not sure if a new client will actually come after filing an extension for them or maybe we need an extension for a child that turns out doesn't need to file. I end up preparing these on paper and mailing them in so I don't waste my credits. I'm sure this is contrary to your objective in getting us to use it for everyone.Plus, we are all tax accountants. Please give us the option to pay in December to get the tax deduction a year early - like we advise all of our clients to do.Thank you.

Form 1098 import for rental properties - add insurance entry fieldDiscussion ongoing

Form 1098 somestimes not only includes information about mortgage interest and property taxes but also hazard insurance paid. Can the insurance field be added to the entry fields showing when importing the 1098? Currently it only shows the property taxes. I understand insurance is not a field on the form itself, but since the information is sometimes printed on the statement it would make the work easier to enter it right at that time as well.

ProConnect friends- can you enable e-filing for Florida F-1065? We have a large client we just won from a big firm and I am embarrassed to tell the CFO they have to bring their Florida F-1065 to the post office.  (The prior firm filed in CCH Access last year and efiled just fine.)  Efile is available in Florida for F-1065.  see Florida Tax Information Publication No: 23C01-01https://floridarevenue.com/taxes/tips/Documents/TIP_23C01-01.pdfThank you for considering!

Tax Payments Estimates Worksheet for Partnerships & S-CorpsDiscussion ongoing

I love the Individual Tax Payments worksheet for clients to keep track of their estimates.  I am in Oregon and many of our business returns can have 2 - 4 estimated tax payments for the next year.  It would be very beneficial to our clients to have the same tax payments worksheet they receive for their personal return and their S-Corp or Partnership returns.

ProConnect already keeps track of the time we spend in returns. However, it doesn't say which specific returns. Would be nice to have it broken down per return and be able to export the data. Would be even better if the time data was exported to Karbon with the integration.

Import TurboTax file for filing amendmentDiscussion ongoing

Situation:Once in a while, I encounter individual taxpayers who use TurboTax self-prepared tax returns. These clients may use TurboTax desktop or online versions.They come to me because they need help on specific or complicated issues. That I need to file tax return amendments for them. Wishlist:If I ask the taxpayers to provide their TurboTax export file (.tax20xx), I wish I could just import them into ProConnect Tax, with all the raw data so that I don't need to rebuild the entire return from scratch.To be more specific, more complicated situations such as rental real estate depreciation schedule, business used car depreciation schedule, carry-over capital losses, passive activity losses, retirement contribution basis, etc.Known unhelpful tools:The data conversation tool is not designed for the above situation. It'll import a year of return to prefill the "prior year numbers" for the upcoming tax filing. It will not replicate the year of the tax return it imported to file for an amendment.
