Need Form 5227 for Split Interest Trust in Form 1041

These are now required to be e-filed as of the 2023 tax year. I have been completing them manually, which is unacceptable considering that even Drake supports them. This form should be part of the Professional tax subscription.

    Good luck with that wish list.  That form has been asked for since about 1962 ................ and we still don't have it.  I paper filed the one I have left and filled out an 8948 saying our software sucks and the cost to e-file would be cost prohibitive for the client.  Ok, maybe I didn't say the software sucks, but I was thinking it.

      I now have 3, so it's getting to be a pain in the a**. If cheaper software supports it I see no reason that PS shouldn't. Been thinking of switching to UltraTax and this may push me over the edge.
