I charge per form on my practice. Prior to switching to Proconnect, I used Proseries Professional. I like the per form feature Proseries has where at the beginning of the tax season I can input my prices on specific tax forms. When I'm done completing a tax return the software automatically have all the forms that was used for the return along with the price and the total. With Proconnect I have to manually input every form and price line by line. Automation is the future and it feels like I went back ward when I switch from Proseries to Proconnect.
I had a request that we add a suggestion when it comes to electronic payments. If the program notices there is a bank account on file and there is boxes indicated for estimated tax or payment due, but the box to withdraw electronic for that category isn't checked that we throw some kind of note.
When you enter the detailed depreciation screen from quick entry you're always in the first tab, but your last used tab is highlighted so the program thinks you're on the highlighted tab when you're not.As a result, you can't click the highlighted tab and must first click one of the other tabs and then the tab you want.Example:You click details to leave depreciation quick entryProconnect displays the Depreciation tab, but the Auto and Additional Info tab is highlightedYou want to be in the Auto and Additional info tab, but can't click it because it's highlighted in error; the program thinks you're there alreadyNow you must click one of the other tabsThen you can click into the Auto and Additional info tabThis means a lot of unnecessary clicking just to Navigate depreciation - which is tough enough already.
The input for First time homeowners credit did not proforma over to 2023. Only way we found out was the efile got rejected for not including it
This form is only relevant if the underlying entity has net taxable income. If the underlying entity shows a loss on its Kentucky PTE, then this form should be omitted.
This is my second year facing the same issue with Pro connect, my client has a child that has three last names and the three last names does not stay the way I write, when I e-file it gets rejectec automatically due to the issue with Pro connect's software!! Please fix it and increase the characters since there is a lot of people that has long last names!!
