NEED NY IT-267 YESTERDAY
This form generates the tax credit for a heat pump system.
I searched for it by number, and there's no form. But there was a place to add an override amount. I entered it, and it enters it on form IT-201-ATT properly, and then carries it over to the return.
But the override creates a critical error stating the form is required, but you don't have it.
I'm trying a workaround: I downloaded the form from NYS Tax. I attached the completed form in Proconnect, but it's not on the list of attachments, so I picked something else.
What we need
- This energy saving credit is a big deal: we need form IT-267
- This should then be added to the available forms attachment list
- We should have the ability to attach an "Other form" not in the drop list.
It's scary to say that I've been doing this for 36 years. I've never encountered one of the forms in the NY attachment drop down. So those seem far less relevant.
