need lacerte to be enabled for city tax filings/paymnets to city of columbus. Make it like RITA city filing.
It is very frustrating when doing multiple year returns for a client and you have to send a intuit link invite for each year in order for them to send you documents for that year and for them to see what you share with them. You should be able to send a link invite to a client and that gives them access to any year they need to choose to upload. It is also frustrating to the client that they can't just pick a year and go...they have to create an "account" essentially to access to each year they need done. The link should be like a portal that gives them access to all.
We would like to be able to view the documents that have already been sent, but not yet signed. We would also like to be able to view the message that was sent with the email.
If we give a client estimates to pay in multiple states, only the resident state estimates print in the organizer. Can all state estimates print on the page or a reference a supplemental sheet that is printed at the end?
Please add Iowa Form 2220 e-filing support in both the partnership and S corporation filing packages
We have had an issue for many years with the program which causes us considerable time to correct every year we transfer a particular client, and a bit on other clients as well. The programming carries notes (the type with the pencil notation) from year to year in Sch Es and K-1s based on the numerical order of the particular Sch E or K-1 in the program. Should a property or partnership be sold in a year, the placement of a note on another property or K-1 remains in the same numerical order, not with the correct property or K-1. For example, you have 3 properties. There is a note on the second property's Asset entry worksheet. Should the first property be sold, the note shows up now on what was the third property's asset entry worksheet, rather than the correct property, because it is now the second listed property. I would like to request that the programming be changed to recognize the property ID or K-1 EIN and carry notes accordingly within that property.
Please add "Extension" as a form option to 3.2 Electronic Return File Attachments. An issue came up this year (TY24) with Nebraska. Many of our businesses owed tax (due to PTET) and we needed to provide a copy of the extension with the tax return. The only option is to attach the extension as "OTHER". I called NDOR to try to figure out what happened. They informed me that unfortunately, NDOR didn't receive the "OTHER" pdf as an extension because it was not labeled as such. This gap of a proper label cost our customers thousands of dollars in late filing penalties and caused us to respond to unnecessary and overstated Nebraska Balance Due Notices. Detail: On 3.2 Electronic Return File Attachments, there is a drop-down box under, "Nebraska Information: Form, line or instruction reference"The current options are Sch K-1N, 1099-MISC/1099-NEC, Form 3800N, NDOI annual tax return, and Other. Action:Please add "EXTENSION" to those optionsReference: Case #15149170002
A method for searching for assets within the software. We work with some clients who have over 10 pages of deprecation reports, and when we need to find a specific one, it's a fully manual find.
Is there a way to delete this option from the instruction letter or make it optional. I find that clients are calling and asking how they can utilize direct pay. I know the instruction letter gives them the website for more information, but I find that in many cases they are calling use to tell them how to do this. When we are approaching the deadline, we don't have time to explain this to them. With some clients, it works great. If it were optional I could select which clients, I would give this information to.
