The 2025 Tax Organizer does not Currently include Questions with One Big Beautiful Bill implications. If yes , do you want to receive a $1,000 Pilot Program Contribution? 4) Did you sell, exchange, Gift or otherwise dispose of any digital assets? If Yes, provide any 1099-DA.

Did you purchase a new passenger vehicle for personal use?

  • Yes or No. The Final Assembly in the U.S.?
  •  Yes or No. Gross Vehicle Weight is under 14,000 pounds?
  • Yes or No. The Vehicle was not Purchase with a lease?
  • Yes or No. The Vehicle was used to secure the Loan?

I was told by a ProSeries Agent (1/7/2026) that they are working on a updated Tax Organizer. Is this True? My clients are calling me about receiving the Tax Organizer but I am not sure if this is the final version. I attended a Tax Seminar on1/5/2026 and in our handout material with the Drake Tax Organizer including this information. It would be nice if we received an alert that the update is is in the process and estimated time of completion. Please keep me informed.

I don't have any direct knowledge, but based on Intuit's history, it seem unlikely such questions will be added before tax season.

Even if it turns out they do, there is no way Intuit will give an update or estimated completion date.

Sounds like we should wait until October 15th to send out organizers this year.

Exactly why I don't use Intuit organizers........   I make my own and post it on the front door....

"Hey, it's time to get your tax stuff together....   drop it in the mail slot when you got it all....  biggest refunds go to the early birds... don't wait too long or you'll probably owe.   Don't forget to include the fee (cash only)...  add $50 to whatever I charged you last year and we're good.... lotsa aggravation with new tax rules this year... "

I have never used organizers.. I never understood having clients fill out pages and pages of questions when I can just meet with them, face to face, they bring their W-2s and 1099s out.. I look them over, prepare the return right then, discuss any questons that may come up, finish the return, and they are on their way, another happy client.

Jim from Ohio,

The person who is are Tax Instructor at our Seminars repeats to us to have your Clients answer all questions and sign and date  the Tax Organizer. My errors and omissions insurance company also reminds us to do the same. Engagement Letters need to be signed as well. There was a court case when a Clients wife signed the Tax Organizer and husband did not because they were going through a divorce. He received a letter from the IRS saying he owed $700 because he failed to report the sale of bit coin. The husband contacted the Tax Preparer and told him you never asked me about the sale of Virtual Currency. The Tax Preparer said the question was on the Tax Organizer. He said, I never signed the Tax Organizer and he told the Tax Preparer that he should pay the bill. Rather than getting the Errors and Omissions insurance company involved it is easier to CYA and have the Clients sign the Tax Organizer. One of the member of the National Society of Accountants said one of their clients complained about completing the Questions on the Tax Organizer. She told her client that when you see your doctor each year they have you answer a series of question don't they? Why are Tax Preparers any different. It's always a good idea to CYA.
