Notify users of when the next program update is expectedNew

In prior years, by this time (Jan 2) the program has been able to generate Forms in at least a draft version.  The current 2023 version 43.006, which has been the most current version for at least the last three weeks, is not generating any Fedeal or (in my case, AZ) state forms.  In a phone call to Lacerte support minutes ago, the representative could not tell me when the next update is expected. WHEN can we expect a vers9n that will print forms in at least a draft version?  I'm aware that this section of your website is probably not the place to post such a question, but your site is so confusing and difficult to navigate that I don't know any other way.

E-filing of Kentucky Form 725Discussion ongoing

I would like to request that ProSeries make the Kentucky form 725 able to be e-filed. This form is named "KENTUCKY SINGLE MEMBER LLC INDIVIDUALLY OWNED INCOME AND LLET RETURN". You have to pay $175 with the form as well.  It is to be filed with the Schedule C of their personal return.   Currently, we have to print it out and mail it in with a check. I would love it if it were able to be e-filed and the payment could auto-draft. It would definitely cut down on the failure of clients to sign, mail, and send the check in to Kentucky. Sell return units earlierDiscussion ongoing

I have time now to input assets into the Depreciation Schedules as well as to record disposals. My input is accepted into the program, but I cannot retrieve a printed report or pdf simply because Intuit will not sell me a unit until next month. Having the pdf or printed report makes it easier to reconcile to the taxpayer's current ledger. Please allow early purchases in order to download and work with pdfs in advance of the year-end. Or maybe allow export of lists and schedules for which you already allow imports.

Allow Tennessee Franchise and Excise tax return exemptions (FAE 183 - OME and FONCE) to be e-filed through Lacerte.Discussion ongoing

There are a few exceptions to having to file a FAE 170 for TN LLCs, S-corps and C-corps. Those exceptions are claimed on an FAE 183 form and can be filed electronically, but Lacerte doesn't offer that option (Ultra Tax does).

Conversion of LLC to S CorpDiscussion ongoing

As of now you cannot convert from LLC to S corp without creating a new client and HAVING TO ENTER ALL FIXED ASSETS IN DETAIL INTO A NEW DEPRECIATION SCHEDULE.  THIS IS VERY TIME CONSUMING AND SEEMS TOTALLY UNNECESSARY.This needs to be a high priority to give us a solution

Partner overrides of a passthrough k-1Discussion ongoing

In the Partnership Module, in Screen 23 Passthrough K-1's, it currently has a Partner overrides section which allows you to assign a specific percentage to each partner for that specific  Passthrough entity.  However, it apparently only works for the 199A/QBI schedule and the Pass-Through Entities attachment.   Please allow this function for ALL items of income and expense and have it flow to Page 1 of each partners' K-1's.It's my understanding that several other Tax Programs out there do this already.Thank You.

Income- Pensions and IRAs(1099-R)Discussion ongoing

Please have a critical diagnostic associated with any income in this field or make the "State Taxable Amount" much more prominent at the top of the page. Several states do not count Pension Income as taxable and a critical diagnostic would go a long way in resolving this issue. At our firm, we have noticed this as the single greatest obstacle with ProConnect Tax Online and would love a better option in the future.

It would be a real benefit for preparer's to have the ability to backup their client's tax software files as an additional source of security under the new IRS Tax Security mandate.  At present this is not an option with Intuit's ProConnect Tax application.

Would be nice in Proconnect offered the Form 1 series in their list of forms to be filed so we don't have to use a different product for this one form. Came from Ultratax and it had that capability.

saving labels as PDF filesNew

When accessing address labels, the only option currently available is Print.  I strongly recommend adding the ability to save labels as PDF files, as this will enable us to save them to print at another time.  Makes no sense that this is not currently available.

Allow all users to have access to "Assignee" Field on tax return list. This could easily help keep track of the flow of who is currently responsible for a return for all users.Currently only admin users have access to see and edit the Assignee for a tax return. This means that same admin is the only one the information is useful to or can make changes to it. Making the Assignee visible for all users can help everyone keep track of who/and where the return stands without having to out outside of Proconnect to check.

The MA extension form instructs taxpayer to send a check to (address given) for the payment.The state is penalizing $100 if the payment is in excess of $5,000 and not paid electronically.That should be noted on the extension form.

The tax return settings have a box to suppress the SSN. It  does not suppress when printing and individual return.  The only way to suppress the SSN is to go Print tax return and then hit mask ssn on the print return options.It has to be for every return separately when it prints.  Batch printing will not suppress.My question is why mark the tax return settings to suppress the ssn if it doesn't work.

Bloomberg Tax Planner BridgeNew

Please create the ability to Bridge to BNA Tax planner.  Lacerte and Proseries both have BNA bridge capabilities.  A firm that I am merging with have always used ProSeries with BNA Planner and they are interested in switching to ProConnect.  However the inability to bridge to BNA is creating concerns.Would be a useful barrier to pull down to allow for the use of BNA Tax Planner directly out of the program.

Lacerte StartupNew

It is very frustrating when Lacerte does not open the way it should in Lacerte.  This happens much too often in my opinion to which I need to call technical support so that they can reset the program to open.  This is very frustrating particularly when it happens over the weekend when there isn't anyone available to assist.

While it is very easy to add a "Location" description in the Lacerte Appointment Manager, it is impossible to get rid of any unused "Location" descriptions once they are there.  Might be nice to have a simple way to clean that up. Thanks!

Delete Entire SectionsNew

Ability to delete entire sections at once. For example, I want to delete all of the line items in Dispositions or Depreciation. Currently, you have to click the trash can button, then say yes I want to delete, and move on to the next one to do the same thing. Very tedious if you have a lot to delete. My suggestion is to have a button where we can delete ALL if we want. Basically, do everything CCH Axcess can do. LOL!
