Minister housing allowance is deductible against 403b retirement income reported on form 1099-R. ProConnect has no functionality to allow deductions from 1099-R income for minister housing allowance. Minister housing allowance can be deducted only against 1099-NEC or 1099-MISC income.
Rejected Efile with missing the ObamaCare Form 1095-A I called Intuit for help on this "Rejected Efile with missing the ObamaCare Form 1095-A" and spoke to a Rep. names Alexis, she taught me to: (1). Print-out an ACA Explanation form, and (2). Name it as "ACA Explanation"; then (3). Attached it into the Efile Menu drop-down menu; with (4). Selected the "ACA Explanation" from the drop-down menu; and then (5). Re-run the Federal Final Review button before electronically efile it again!! Thanks to Alexis, she's awesome!! 🙂
I have had several returns that were rejected when I tried to e-file them because I received a message that there was an update. The Background update feature is enabled but the updates aren't pushing through. I have to run the initial WebSetup.exe file to get the updates to push through.I am able to receive updates for Lacerte 2024 but not Lacerte 2025. Any ideas?

If a partnership chooses to track partner basis at the partnership level, Lacerte can generate the worksheet, but it's not included in the K-1 printing package. If you were to deliver that as one pdf, you would have to manually print each worksheet in form view for each partner and manually insert those into each partner K-1 pdf. Please give us the option to include that in the printing of the K-1. Why else would you track at the partnership level if you weren't going to give it to the partner?
Frequently our Tax Professionals need to access multiple years of Lacerte, generally for the same client. It makes no sense for a user, who is already signed in, to need to sign in multiple times on the same machine to access other versions of the program.I would like to see Single Sign On applied to Lacerte Login access across all versions of Lacerte that require credentials (2016 and up I believe) and that the time out period should be based upon the last use of any open version.
I would like for Lacerte to have a print option to be able to include the state K1's with the client copy of the tax return. I've been looking, and I just don't think there's an option to print the state K1s with the state return. I understand I can print an entire K1 package and include it that way, but that seems redundant to me. I manually print them to include in the tax return, but would like to be able to just add it to my print settings.Note: I'm experiencing this with the ND fiduciary return. I don't have any 1041's in other states, so it is possible it's only a ND issue.
I'm getting an e-file error indicating that I have to manually attach a copy of the federal return to the Arkansas AR1100PET? Tech support confirmed this was what I had to do to clear the error. Is it not possible to automatically attach the federal return to the AR1100 PET return like of types of returns?
There is an option in client info to use "Promise Date" to use for when you told the client it would be done or are we extending. There is no column option or report option for that information. It would be nice to be able to have a column to see what needs to be worked by Promise date. At this point, its a random piece of information in the client information that can only be accessed while in the client file.
ProSeries has a hidden worksheet as the go-between between Form 8962, Part II repayment of excess PTC and Form 7206 SE Health Insurance Deduction. At the bottom of Form 7206 there is a statement "A self-employed health insurance adjustment of $____ from premiums paid through an exchange is included as an adjustment to income but does not appear on these worksheets."I want to have access to that hidden worksheet and see that computation because it appears to be wrong! Here's an example. If Sch C has say $40K net for 12 months activity. Form 1095-A Part II Column A minus Column C is $3,300 premiums paid while Form 8962 shows a repayment of excess advanced PTC of $750. Also the taxpayer paid an additional $320 in premiums for vision & dental. The self-employed health deduction on Schedule 1 line 17 should be $4,370 ($3,300 + $750 + $320).However, that worksheet is instead reporting a lower amount on Schedule 1 line 17 and throwing the balance on Schedule A medical when there is clearly sufficient Schedule C income and no losses from any other source.I tested this at length with a Schedule C and self-employed health premiums. If I only have Exchange insurance with repayment of excess adv PTC, it computes correctly. If I only have non-exchange premiums, it computes correctly. But a combination of exchange premiums plus repayment of excess adv PTC plus non-exchange premiums results in an error.I also would like ProSeries coders to re-visit the computation on that worksheet because it should deduct the entire amount.
