Splitting a MFJ to MFS returns is a great feature. Unfortunately, the current implementation defaults to using the last name of the Taxpayer from the MFJ tax return for both of the MFS returns even when the Spouse in the MFJ return has a different last name. This should be an incredibly easy fix.
Hello, I want to start a thread on getting ProSeries to the 21st century. It is 2024 all apps that you have to stare at for long periods of time should have a dark mode. It is significantly easier on the eyes and not hard to install. I figured this might be the best route for pushing this idea to intuit. Let me know if you guys already have an idea on how to pull this off.
In light of the relatively 'high' standard deduction (as well as the eligibility for QCDs to count as RMDs for those already distributing), can you please reinstate the query to identify clients turning age 70 1/2 while retaining the query for RMDs at age 73 as well?
I'm new with Pro-series. I'm a tax preparer and a TIN Certifying Acceptance Agent with IRS. The W-7 form is in the pro-series software program but I did not find the "COA" or Certificate of Accuracy for IRS ITIN that needs to be submitted along with the W-7 form.
Not being able to file amended or corrected forms through Quick Employer Forms is a dealbreaker. This is essential functionality that other tools such as Track1099 feature. I won't be using Quick Employer Forms until this feature is added.
Previous years, the enter button or key, would confirm entry of input and proceed to the next line. The most recent update or version (2024), prevents that from happening.
When a preparer leaves the organization and is replaced by another, we would like a way to change the preparer on all of their clients to a new one. Currently we have to do this one by one on an individual basis.
