Input sheet 57.017New

Input sheet 57.017 does not show on the print Blank Input Sheets screen for California, nor does it print under the Completed Input Sheets when applicable.We have two clients that have a California Like-Kind Exchange and this page is not printing when printing Completed Input Sheets.  We'd like to have this completed page for their files.Can we see about getting this added?

Over 4 years ago ProAdvisors were asking about adding business returns (1120, 1120S, 1065) to Intuit link. You've closed those conversations. So is Intuit link only going to work for 1040s?

Include Control Total screen like is in LacerteNew

  I've been a Lacerte customer for over 30 years and have switched to ProConnect for this year because I'm mostly retired and only preparing a few returns, and ProConnect won't have much of a learning curve. I am disappointed to find that ProConnect doesn't have Control Totals, as available in Lacerte. Please consider it for the future as it is a vital part of my quality control.

Please make iOS Compatible Organizer!!New

Please make emailed organizers which are compatible with ALL operating systems!!Since most of our clients don't like the "e-organizer" we end up emailing most of them via the "print paper organizer" format which then generates an email with the attached organizer and instructions.However, when sent in this manner, clients using Apple devices receive the file in an unusable "WINMAIL.DAT" file format.  With many clients using iOS devices, this is becoming an increasing inconvenience, as we then have to re-send these individually by saving the file to the desktop and then sending again.  It's absurd that this still hasn't been fixed, especially given the price firms pay for this software!!

Split a MFJ to MFS return with correct last namesDiscussion ongoing

Splitting a MFJ to MFS returns is a great feature. Unfortunately, the current implementation defaults to using the last name of the Taxpayer from the MFJ tax return for both of the MFS returns even when the Spouse in the MFJ return has a different last name. This should be an incredibly easy fix.

IRS Identity Theft PINNew

Would like to run a Custom Database Report to see which clients have an IRS PIN from prior year. But the “IRS PIN last year?” and “IRS PIN” fields are not custom fields within Custom Reports (all other fields are present).Can you add these fields within Custom Reports options? This would be very helpful to many! Thanks!

Night mode for ProSeriesNew

Hello, I want to start a thread on getting ProSeries to the 21st century. It is 2024 all apps that you have to stare at for long periods of time should have a dark mode. It is significantly easier on the eyes and not hard to install. I figured this might be the best route for pushing this idea to intuit. Let me know if you guys already have an idea on how to pull this off.

In light of the relatively 'high' standard deduction (as well as the eligibility for QCDs to count as RMDs for those already distributing), can you please reinstate the query to identify clients turning age 70 1/2 while retaining the query for RMDs at age 73 as well?

Is there a way to generate electronic payment instructions in Lacerte for Georgia Form IT CR? The Lacerte instructions tell clients to mail estimated payments, which could result in penalties if the amount is $10,000 or more. In accordance with O.C.G.A. § 48-2-32(f)(2), composite estimate taxpayers with quarterly payments of$10,000 or more must pay electronically using the Georgia Tax Center (GTC). A penalty of 10% will be added if the payment is not submitted electronically on GTC.

I'm new with Pro-series. I'm a tax preparer and a TIN Certifying Acceptance Agent with IRS. The W-7 form is in the pro-series software program but I did not find the "COA" or Certificate of Accuracy for IRS ITIN that needs to be submitted along with the W-7 form.

Change 2024 update configuration to allow non admin users to check for updatesNew

Currently, the 2024 automatic update process won't work unless I login to each workstation as an admin user.  Lacerte Updates under the tools menu is greyed out for non admin users.For prior years, Lacerte Update Scheduler would pull updates when scheduled, notify each user when an update was available, then prompt for admin credentials to install the update.  Please bring this back!

Not being able to file amended or corrected forms through Quick Employer Forms is a dealbreaker. This is essential functionality that other tools such as Track1099 feature. I won't be using Quick Employer Forms until this feature is added.

Support form NC-429B PTENew

This is not an idea but an absolute necessity. Every tax preparer in North Carolina needs this form. The form is NC-429B PTE. It is to calculate underpayment of estimated tax penalty for NC PTEs. This is not a niche form or an uncommonly used tax form. It is applicable to probably half or more S-Corps and Partnerships in NC. It is an extreme disservice to your customers to not support this form. It takes approximately 15 minutes to calculate this by hand. If you do 300 returns with this form, that costs 75 hours of work - almost two standard work weeks (probably one tax season week) calculating something by hand that there already exists a format for in the Federal form 2210, the NC-429B, and other similar calculations for other states. Support the form, please. We don't have the option to bill back Inuit for the time we will waste calculating this by hand.

The taxpayer isn't always the one who works on the tax return.  Many times it is the spouse.  Can you add a check box in lacerte as to who the intuit link organizer goes to?  or at a minimum add a drop down menu before you send so you can select the spouses email?

Montana additions 2024New

I know the forms aren't final yet for Montana, but for now, the Montana additions on Schedule 1 Line 8 for the recovery of federal income tax deducted in 2023 is way out of whack.  It is reporting $42,000 for a client who had total tax of way less than that.  I've seen this same scenario for several clients.  I think it is putting last year's taxable income instead of last year's federal tax deduction.

Client Engagement Letter Gift Tax Return Data Base ReportsNew

I would like to print my Gift Tax return engagement letters from the Gift Tax Module Data Base Reports Letters tab BUT the following codes do not work:[CLIENTNAME][NAME]These codes work just fine in all the other modules and just needs to be fixed in this module.  This is extremely frustrating because the only fix to this is manually typing the client name individually on every engagement letter before printing it.  Our firm workaround has been to create the Gift Tax Return engagement letter in Lacerte's Individual module data base reports letters tab but we shouldn't have to go to these efforts to generate an engagement letter using the correct module.

Mass update to clients on by preparer code .New

When a preparer leaves the organization and is replaced by another, we would like a way to change the preparer on all of their clients to a new one.  Currently we have to do this one by one on an individual basis.

Put Prior Depreciation in the quick entry grid, instead of having to open detail to find it.

Please consider adding a "Noncash Contributions" column to the column/table review of the 990 Schedule of Contributors screen.   the noncash contributions are also used but there is no where to see a summary in the program if they are used (other than the Forms view). So adding a column here at the end off to the right after Cash Contributions for "Non-Cash Contributions" would be a nice addition.  The data field is in the detail input screens.
