along with the 8879s there should be a docusign for bank account verification . Especially since paper refund checks are going away. We should have the client verify the bank accountinformation entered is correct.

I am writing to provide feedback regarding the Form 2210 penalty and interest calculation feature in ITO (ProConnect). While this option is available, I have identified two specific issues that need to be addressed: 1. The calculation is currently based only on original returns. For amended returns, the system should perform the calculation based on the tax owed on the amended return.2. There should be an option to choose whether or not to add the calculated penalty and interest to the total payment amount.-- Click https://accountants.intuit.com/community/proconnect-tax-idea-exchange/idea-for-intuit-to-keep-track-of-open-issues/idi-p/301766 to vote FOR the idea if you need to report and keep track of Intuit software defects.
This is a must going forward. Amended returns happen more than we would like, but when they do, and we're required to use paper forms and the US Postal service, the process gets lengthy and there is a loss of control on the data and filing. For the states that allow e-file for amendments, this is a no brainer. Not having this for another year will certainly lead me to find a resource that does have the option built in. Ciao.
