Form 8453 PET needs to be added to Arkansas ASAP. It is in the list of forms under Global Print Options, but will NOT print even when the Global Print option is selected to "if required" or "if used". I was on with your tech support for an hour yesterday while she tried to change this same setting three different times with no success. I'm not sure it was referred for technical correction up the ladder as I asked.
For Massachusetts Fiduciary returns the Entity Name block on the Form M-8453F pulls the last name of the Fiduciary Instead of the Entity name from the input sheet. This error has been present in the program for well over a decade and requires an override on every fiduciary return
Please add a batch deleting for things like Sch D. I uploaded over 600 transactions, and now the return is super slow. I want to delete everything and enter a summary, but deleting everything will take at least two hours with how slowly it is running
I own a tax preparation/financial planning company with 12 employees. The current roles do not allow distinction between administrative tasks and a true admin access. I would like there to be fewer categories but customization within each of the categories. My support staff that does data entry, printing and mailing returns, etc. does not have the ability to edit client information or print returns unless they are granted full admin access. There are only 4 tax-preparers who file returns but in order for our firm to function I need to provide full admin access to all employees and that costs us over $800/year so that they can print tax returns or do other administrative tasks. There is no need for them to have full access to our books in order to do that.
When preparing Schedule C (Form 1040) for a sole proprietorship, keeping detailed spreadsheets for Other Income (Line 6) and Other Costs (Part III, Line 39a) is essential for documentation and audit protection. We need to have an option to print these details for customers. Lenders ask a lot of questions when they don't see the details for “Other income” and “Other costs” associated with businesses.
Pro series does not allow e-filing of an Indiana individual tax return that requires a PDF attachment for certain credits in Indiana. This slows down the taxpayers refund by 4 to 6 weeks. Recommend that this issue be looked at.
It would be very helpful if State K-1 information entered at the entity level could automatically flow to the individual return. Currently, this information often has to be entered again manually, which takes extra time and increases the chance of errors. Allowing it to import directly would save time, reduce data entry mistakes, keep entity and individual returns consistent, and make multi-state reporting easier. This enhancement would improve overall efficiency and accuracy for preparers.
