better consistency with electronic payments of estimated taxes
The federal estimated tax payments and state estimated tax payments follow two different systems. One gives you control over the payment dates and amounts, one doesn't. One gives you a confirmation letter that the payment was processed, one doesn't. One is clear on the client letter that the payment will be made electronically, one doesn't (and there isn't a way to customize it either) thereby forcing us to manually override the client letter or use the instruction letters which are miserable. The state payments are on different screens in different modules. As more of the taxing authorities force electronic payments, we need to be able easily determine and confirm what was paid and how. Clean it up, enhance the client letter, give us an acceptance letter for the federal estimated tax pmts, and make the process more consistent across the modules for the users.
