Please program the form 1041 Schedule E net income flow to K-1 and not manually enter. This could cause a mistake on the return as most software programs flow directly to the K-1.
Can you enhance the program to compute late payment interest and penalties on the MI-1040 for Michigan. I have to overide to do this.
Is it possible to create folders within the documents section of LINK? It would be nice to have this feature so you can label the folder and populate it with specific information. Currently, you can just add files and they are loaded into LINK with no ability to segregate them into folders For those who choose not to create folders, they can continue to use LINK as they do today. Also, is there any way for LINK to notify the preparer when clients open documents? I'd like to be made aware when a client accesses a document I've uploaded for them.
Under the VIEW tab there is an option for Client Snapshot. This is a helpful tool that provides a summary of the clients tax situation. With that said, it only provides the federal and resident state information. If a client has to file additional states, it should also provide a "Snapshot" of that information as well. It definitely should.
Be able to upload tax documents automatically through a provider like Gruntworks to save time.
Make the organizer PDFs fillable by client, so they can fill them in on their computer and send them back completed without printing.
These reports contain the submission IDs for both Federal and state filings of the returns, extensions and submissions in general. It would be helpful if those reports could be printed: (1) to PDF; and (2) as part of the Preparer Copy of the return when the return is printed to PDF.
A worksheet that would allow us to enter real estate tax, mortgage interest, utilities, etc and allocate a percentage to the 8829, Schedule E, Schedule F, Schedule A, 2106, and UPE would be wonderful. I am constantly in Excel figuring this out. And the real estate tax is circular in the 8829, ie: if you are itemizing put the figure here, if you are taking the standard deduction put it here, but we have always put the figure in on the 8829 and then if the Schedule A is a moot issue, the program uses the standard deduction.
Hi Everyone:I would like to formally request that I be given the option of turning off ALL masking of confidential client data when printing a client organizer.I have gone to the Tools/Options/General menu box and UNselected the "masking rules" and assumed that the "masking" of the SS#, Drivers License# and Birthdate fields would be UNmasked. They ARE, in fact, UNmasked on the screens that I view, unfortunately when I "print out" a client organizer on my printer or in a PDF format, in order to physically or electronically transmit the organizer to my client, the UNmasking on those fields is still in effect. The UNmasking of confidential information and the printing in the 1040 product is working just fine, i.e. NO masking of data is occurring when I print worksheets or forms. This is occurring ONLY in the Client Organizer product.I, as the practitioner, must have control of this feature. I do NOT want the software to default to or override my relationship with my clients.Thank you very much for your consideration.Robert Olsen, CPA (Software user since 1983)
Can we put the money and payment method columns in the EF Center in logical order?
CIRCUIT BREAKER CREDIT IN MASSACHUSETTS SHOULD BE PROMPTED IF QUALIFIED (ERROR MESSAGE NECESSITY.) DIAGNOSTIC CHECK.
I have requested the past 3 years to a human being at ProSeries this enhancement, so I thought I'd do it this way this time. I would like to see a field to enter a contact and their phone number on the Info Page.I have several elderly clients and their adult children bring in their tax info and want me to call them when it is ready to be picked up and I have no place to enter their information to call them.
