A worksheet that would allow us to enter real estate tax, mortgage interest, utilities, etc and allocate a percentage to the 8829, Schedule E, Schedule F, Schedule A, 2106, and UPE would be wonderful. I am constantly in Excel figuring this out. And the real estate tax is circular in the 8829, ie: if you are itemizing put the figure here, if you are taking the standard deduction put it here, but we have always put the figure in on the 8829 and then if the Schedule A is a moot issue, the program uses the standard deduction.

If you enter the property tax on Form 8829, it will put the correct % onto Schedule A, but it will NOT do that for the mortgage interest. IMHO, this is a bug. It should either do both or neither.
