Proforma of return Poor.  Did not put in GI for Business from P/Y as per form.  Addresses not properly proforma-ed Efiling overly complex.  Created bogus IT204LL for TP when SMLLC was for spouse.  T/P did not have any Sch C or SMLLC business, only wages on W-2.Where address is called for you should be saving keystrokes by having the zip code autofill City and State on all forms.  This should be an easy fix.  You already have that coding in other places.The efile results showed 2  IT204LLs filed when the return only had 1.

When electing into CA PTET (pass-thru entity tax), the software does not print nor include on the Cover Letter the CA Form 3522 for it's LLC fee of $800.  This same issue occurred in the 2021 locator, so I was hoping it would be fixed by now.Please fix the CA Form 565 to include both prepayment CA vouchers, Form 3522 for the $800 LLC tax and Form 3893 (ES) for the PTET prepayment. Thank you!

Louisiana ID entryNew

I have obtained 3 different new Louisiana account numbers and all of them are 7 digits.  I attempted to get extensions for these 3 clients and the LaCerte system rejected the request claiming the system requires a Louisiana ID of 10 digits.  Please contact your programing dept to notify them that the La ID only consist of 7 digits and to remove the requirement for a 10 digit.  If necessary, I can supply LaCerte with an ID notification from Louisiana that I just received yesterday for an ID of only 7 digits

Since Form 5227 can be e-filed for 2022, the extension request should also be available to be e-filed - it has minimal information on it.

efiling Form 7203 for Forms 1120SNew

Despite a filing requirement to include Form 7203 with Form 1120S the program is not including it in the documents transmitted with the efile. The "Auto Generate and Attach PDFs to EFiles" options both in the primary and workstation options fields are set to "Yes". Additionally, the "Form 7203" option fields in the primary and workstation options are also set to "Yes". There is no diagnostic warning. Accordingly, I must attach the Form 7203 as a PDF to the Form 1120S. Please resolve this issue.

Fix Lacerte 2022 Communication manager so it shows update files available for download like all previous versions.New

When doing manual update inside lacerte under tools, Lacerte updates, and if updates are available and you select update, the Communication Manager is supposed to open and display showing all the update files available for download. (all previous Lacerte versions).and  how the downloads are progressing.  In Lacerte 2022 the Communications Manager does not appear, and a grey screen opens behind Lacerte main window, but cannot be accessed.  This identical problem was in Lacerte 2021 but was fixed.  Please fix the Communications manager screen for updates.

Intuit link documents tabNew

Add a checkbox on the documents tab so we can check it once it's been downloaded just like it is in the requests tab. Better yet have the box on the documents tax linked to the requests tab box so when you check the box for a doc  it checks the same box for the same docs on the other tab.

Estimated Tax Due Dates for FEMA states postponedNew

Need override to traditional due dates when requesting automatic withdrawal of quarterly payments.  For CA, GA, AL we need to allow October 16th instead of April, June, September.  Lacerte support says we can alter the letter dates but that doesn't create the October 16th payment dates.

pdf smartvault printerNew

When printing a tax return be able to print to SmartVault and pdf at the same time. Currently have to print each one individually but if both boxes are selected, the tax return only gets printed to SmartVault but never to the pdf. I would like to this implemented into the program to be able to print both at the same time.

CA PTE payment for 2022 and 2023 instructions should be separatedNew

In order to show the correct amount of prepaid CA PTE we have to use the screen 37.011 box under Pass-Through Entity Elective Tax Payment Vouchers called Payment Voucher 2022 Form 3893. This also creates a voucher and forces the Instructions for the CA PTE to include both 2022 and 2023 instructions. This is incorrect, as the 2022 voucher shouldn't be paid again in 2023. There should be a box for the total amount of CA PTE prepayment, or it shouldn't generate a new 2022 voucher, nor have it reflected in the instructions. The time for making 2022 prepayment is passed.

attaching a PDF of a federal return to a separately filed KY Form PTENew

I need to attach a PDF of a federal return to a separately filed KY Form PTE return.  A diagnostic is being generated stating that "KY e-file requires a valid file name for all PDF attachments and that a name from a drop-down menu on Screen EF (4) should be selected.  The "765-DK" option seems to be obsolete and applicable to prior year forms.  The other options seem to be applicable to S and C corporation returns.  KY Publication 1345 for tax year 2022 indicates on page 15 that "KY continues to accept state-only/unlinked returns for the 2022 tax year", that "state returns input separately from a previously filed federal return are eligible for state-only filing", and that "the federal data must be attached".  I'm wondering why the Lacerte tax software does not provide an option for a valid file name to allow the attachment of a PDF of the federal return.

Colorado K1 print packageNew

It would be great if Lacerte had a print option for the new Colorado Form DR1706 plus all owner K1s to mail or efile to Colorado.  I have to print all of these forms separately now which is time consuming.  Thank you

iowa form ia 2220New

2022 Iowa Form IA 2220 is not included in the program.  It was released from the state October 2022; however it was not been included in Lacerte.  It is necessary to be able to e-file Iowa S-corporations.  Prior to Version 43.0228 update yesterday, this was not an issue.  Now the return does not pass validation because of it.  S-corporations are due in 2 weeks.

Superseded return issuesNew

I waited over a month for my daughter's refund to be issued.  Since I pay her bills, she was having her full refund deposited to my account.  She's not on it.  I think IRS was holding it up because of that.  So I wanted to send a new return in with her bank account instead of mine.  I followed the directions for a superseded return, but got stuck when I saw the copy I made needed authorization.  Danielle assured me if I go forward to the forms tab it will let me authorize the return and not charge me.  Then in filing the susperseded return, I had to use the Amended return Efile version, so I'm hoping all went well now, and we'll get confirmation of the  return's acceptance.  Thanks, Danielle, for your expertise in advising me.

Supporting Detail doesn't allow negative numbers per lineDiscussion ongoing

Most supporting detail screens allow for negative adjustments which is sometimes need to move a value to another line.  I don't need the total of all the supporting detail to be negative, just be able to have negative adjustment against total entered to be a lesser value.  For instance, I might have 4 lines of detail 5000, 10000, 15000, -3000 for a total of 27000.   In know this works on screen 19 for sure for Individuals.  However, it doesn't work in Partnerships (Screen 12); SCorps (Screen 18) or Fiduciary (Screen 24).  I get DATA ENTRY ERROR, value must be between 1 and 999,999,999, which it will but not on a specific line of detail.This was working in 2019 and prior version versions and was changed in 2020 and forward for some reason.
