I have ran into two issues when preparing returns in CA.1. There is not way to enter the CA declared disaster for the 12/20/2022 Earthquake. This was declared a CA Disaster loss only. Drop down menu has no options that are valid or that will work. 2. The Federally and CA declared disasters for storm damage in January 2023 do not show up as a possible choice in Screen 17.1 under either "Disaster Loss (ctrl+T) or under Qualified CA Disaster (FTB 3805V) Ctrl+T)(CA). The drop down menus for both of these are lacking the January 2023 storm damage. We can take this on the 2022 tax return now, so we do not have to amend later.
When attaching Form 8888 to 1040 return, the Client Letter shows the wrong direct deposit amount. It shows the full amount of the refund instead of what is entered in Part I of Form 8888.
Please add to the Utah State individual tax return, the nonrefundable credit, Enterprise Zone Credit, with a code number 31.
NYS PTE tax election and tax return filing can only be made by NYS online portal. It would be helpful if Lacerte can calculate the tax for each partner by adding a couple of input fields so that the numbers can be plugged into the NYS portal. Also, NYS does have an upload feature to import all the partner information. Lacerte should have a way to export the information needed for the import, in the format that NYS requires, so that it can be quickly and easily uploaded.
Clients want to know if return was accepted so best is to print 9325 with the return that we email client. They can save return with this confirmation/acknowledgement. 1040 seems to print 9325 but 1065 and 1120s do not. Thanks
Why do we have to use Rightnetwork when they are the worst hosting company out there. I am using Ace Cloud hosting and it works a lot better. You can use your own Internet Explorer and Microsoft accounts.
Can the Watermark be lightened? The Watermark is so dark that you cannot read what is underneath once printed.
Printing organizers to PDF always relies on client number. Functionality to save by client's name would be a welcomed addition to the software.
When Printing to PDF - I would like a way to batch save selected clients, instead of saving them one at a time. The current procedure request a user to press ok after each save.Batch functionality would be highly appreciated.
SCH K-1 BASIS LIMITATION NEEDS TO BE MOVED TO CRITICAL DIAGNOSTIC AS IT WAS ON THE 2021 PROGRAM:WITH AN INPUT JUMP1000
On high resolution screens the bottom part of a long worksheet or form (eg. Information Worksheet) not showing properly and just shows up as blank white background. Magnifying the forms down fixes the issue but it is not an ideal solution
Prior year disallowed QBI losses are not shown on the QBI worksheet for form 8995. This is happening in the Fiduciary module for 2022. The worksheet in 2021 did contain these losses.
With the Hawaii return only one attachment can be made to the Schedule D, and the program wants to auto attach a form to the return. When having additional 1099's to attach it becomes a problem because Hawaii will only allow one attachment. By turning off 'auto attach' in the settings a new error is generated (error 40824) which says an attachment needs to be made when there's a Schedule G. My schedule G was blank and yet I still get that error message. This should be fixed.
