It would be great if Lacerte would support having the Kansas LC-50 Limited Liability Company annual report available in the S Corporation Module. It is available only in the partnership module currently, however there are a lot of LLC's that have elected S Corporation status for tax purposes. They file Kansas Form LC-50 and not the AR-50.
Having a note on top screen like the DIRECT note we have the Intuit tax pros use on the IEP files would be useful - the DIRECT note is D=Date file was last touched, I=Issue to resolve, R=Resolution target, ECT= expected completion time (date target for follow-up)
Since your Efiling boxes for each state do NOT include the City of Cincinnati, and you don't even include a Diagnostic "heads up" that I would need to paper file the return, AT LEAST the Client Letter for the Ohio Cities should put the correct mailing address of the return, and NOT just instructions to mail the return to the client themselves!!!
This is critically needed information for California customers. Apparently, we not important enough to Lacerte to correctly provide this critical information. Once again Lacerte disappoints! Charles Laing
I am recommending that Lacerte automatically calculate prior period deprecation for the sale of rental property. This will alleviate the need to manually calculate it so that the gain is properly reflected.
Give diagnostic if the date of death listed on the 1040 is for a date in the future. I mistakenly tried to submit a return with November 2023 DOD, but should have been 2022. Didn't realize the error until already gave clients their copies of return and the return was rejected by IRS.
