I am trying to ask ProSeries to include the form IA 134 in the 2024 program. And hopefully make it available to e-file as well. PLEASE!!!! 🙂
Invoices should print with signature forms or as the very first page in the pdf we send to clients. As it is now buried down after the letters in the client copy, many clients do not see it.
Please support the generation and printing of Form 4626 for all C-Corporation returns.
Please add W-7 (COA) https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw7coa.pdf , to the form 1040 series so that we do not need to prepare the form manually outside of the software.-- Click https://proconnect.intuit.com/community/proconnect-tax-idea-exchange/request-a-case-management-tool-for-proconnect/idi-p/111336 to vote FOR the idea if you need to report and keep track of Intuit software defects.
I have spent over 3 hours on the phone with Tech Support, they have no idea how to setup the program in such a way and will not elevate the issue.Lacerte issued a White Paper "Citrix Environment", it clearly indicates it can be done, but does not provide any detail on how to customize the needed paths.RightWorks, Cetrom, and other solutions all have limitations ranging from Price, to Performance to Lack of Support for certain programs. We have run Lacerte for a year on a Cloud Terminal Service, but it lacked the ability to have individual user preferences. Otherwise, worked flawlessly. Why does Lacerte refuse to help its customers trying to embrace technology? Please step up and do the right thing Inuit.
To reduce client billing questions and facilitate payment, it would be beneficial if Lacerte Tax provided more flexibility on the client invoice. Namely, allowing more characters per line on the header and footer, and allowing text to wrap as typed. (Settings//Client Invoice//Heading/Footing tab). Our goal is to share instructions with clients to make their billing and online payment experience first class. Thank you in advance to those in the community who like and support this idea.
Hello, I am requesting that in the Summary Button on Federal side to show clients% Federal effective tax rate when you click on button, the only pace to see this would be toclick on 2 year summary. I have used other tax software and clicking on summary shows the clientstax bracket, on State side it does show the effective tax rate
The program should have a flag when the foreign tax credit is over $600 to alert the user that the 1116 is required to be filed.
Ultra Tax generates a Federal AND State Comparison for Married Filing Separate when Lacerte does Not!!I recently found that i have many taxpayers in NYS who benefit from filing separately only on their state Return. The Lacerte diagnostic/ comparison feature does not include this. The only way to see if there is a benefit is to actually split the return and manually compare the state joint return to the combined results after splitting the return. I am a long time lacerte member and i am so disappointed that other software companies have this ( what i consider) basic feature.I am now faced with reviewing most of my returns to see if i missed benefiting my clients.I would appreciate an answer from lacerte
Each year that we have had Lacerte, on our tax appointment letter, we also have it printed with the tax preparer's name on it. This year, it prints blank. It has the time and date of the tax appointment but it won't printer the select preparer name on it. I contacted Lacerte phone support and they said that feature has been removed. Can you please add it back? It helps our clients know who they are meeting with and who is preparing their taxes.Thank you!
Hi,I have found a possible glitch in how the input flows to the forms.I am filing the 990 and CA 199. On page 7 of the 990 we report officers with their wages and nontaxable benefits. Wages in column D nontaxable benefits in column F are reported correctly on that page. However when it flow to the CA 199 Statements page the total of wages + nontaxable benefits are in the Total Compensation column, and the non-taxable benefits are in the expense account/other column. This is double reporting the benefits on that form. The nontaxable benefits do not belong in the expense account/other column.I have found ways to work around this but they are not idea. For a recent return I've put in a -1 in the expense account/other box in the input, but that actually reports -1 on the return. This is not ideal. I trust this software to assist in filling in the forms correctly but in this instance, it is not. Please fix.
