Please add Prep for Taxes account mapping for these two very common items:- Schedule K - charitable contributions- Other income- State taxes (major states like California does an add-back, which is done automatically when entered into this specific input box)Additionally, please allow us to map line 20 other deductions. I understand that there are some other deduction accounts like Janitorial expense, but if an expense does not meet any predefined category, right now the only mapping option is other miscellaneous, which results in a very large miscellaneous expense on the return. If these accounts were just imported into the normal other deductions box, they could be line itemed to show the account names of the original accounts.
Hello,When using Prep for Taxes, for some reason distributions always get mapped as a negative number. I know that a credit balance for an equity account is a negative balance, BUT it should not be imported as a negative number. Every single time I import a client, I have to go into the return and remove the minus symbol from the import to get the return to balance. This is an obvious software error and should be an easy thing to fix, so I'm hoping this just gets fixed instead of having to go through a bunch of approval hoops. T
There needs to be customizable standard letters for businesses. If I change the standard letter, it will change for ALL business clients. For businesses in different states, we should be able to have a standard letter PER state to include estimated tax payments and PTET information. Since there is only one standard letter, I would need to customize a letter for each client individually per state which, because of the coding, takes ALOT of time. This needs to be updated ASAP!
I am a preparer in Washington State. Though tax payers eligible for EITC represent less than half of my business. I would really like to see the WWFTC available in ProSeries. I realize it is available through ProConnect, however I don't use the program and would rather not have to bounce between ProSeries and ProConnect, especially when I do not know immediately that my client will qualify for EITC.
It would be really helpful if you could generate estimated payment vouchers connected with the generic local PA tax return. We could do this in ATX and Drake, but I just got off the phone with your support and was told that is not an option in ProSeries.
Much like the IRS, I think it would benefit accounting professionals as well as your company to have a direct support phone number. Having to jump through hoops every time I have an issue is a waste of my time and causes unnecessary frustration with your product.
Please add an option to insert images into client letters so we can include our firm’s logo directly in the document, rather than having to print on pre-designed letterhead.
When is Lacerte going to speed up forms availability? Half a season goes by before I can give my clients a complete printout. Cheap software like ATX and Drake have their forms ready much earlier. I understand that the unapproved forms cannot be used for filing, but at least enable them for client copy printout. WTF?
