Allow user to create default entries for for State Tax Returns. This is already allowed for Federal returns.
Allow user to "highlight" and "copy" from the print preview screen. Currently a user must print to PDF to copy name and address of the client or any other information to use in other documents. This would save a lot of time for the user because they would not have to open a separate PDF reader to copy the data.
and points Smart Worksheet on schedule A. It's a nuisance to scroll down that cluttered form and find mortgage insurance entry line.
In ProSeries 1040: Transfer Clients from last year:The transfer does not include the Schedule F, Line 7, Supporting Statement, Descriptions list. Can you please add this back into the Transfer routine?Thank you!
ProSeries needs a more streamlined method of entering real estate taxes across schedules A, E, F, 8829 and so on. Entering on 8829 proves to be a circular type reference ie: I don't know if the taxpayer will itemize until after I make the entries on the other forms/schedules. And I pay the big bucks so that I don't have to do the math! Also, mortgage interest entered in the excess line (for those who are taking standard deduction) does not flow to New York. Very frustrated with this. A worksheet to enter deductions that will be prorated across schedules would be great
Please add the ability to prepare the Spouse FBAR Form 114 in the same tax data file you are preparing the Taxpayer and Joint FBAR Form 114.
Please add a Two Year Comparison for Schedule F. I've been asking for 20 years. This is a business form just like Schedule C and Schedule E and deserves a two year comparison! I don't understand why there isn't one already.
During our 2021 tax year we had several clients that had to go on extension due to dependents with expired ITIN's. I wanted to prevent this in future years by exporting a report into excel and sort by Social security numbers to create my initial database and send out notifications for clients with ITIN's that may expire on 12/31/2022. The issue is through Lacerte report generator I cannot capture dependent Social Security Numbers, only taxpayer and spouse so I am missing a large number of clients in my report that could be impacted with this issue in 2022. Can Lacerte please add Dependent Social Security number, Dependent First Name, and Dependent Last Name as selectable fields in the custom report settings in future developments.Thank youJason PowellJenderuss Forensic Accounting
