Program is 'wonkey' Groups do not seem to work correctly.
A report to be generated to provide to other tax preparers for percentage of owners in case of not 100% (i.e. the other nonpartner) of their % (share) of income & expenses. For example in a Partnership return on screen 17 where I input under "Percentage of Ownership Not 100%, I would like Lacerte to generate a report to provide to other tax preparers the "minority interest" breakdown of income and expenses of the non partner. as well as certain balance sheet amounts to be allocatedto non partner owners (i.e. real estate with outside direct ownership such as a "Tenancy In Common"arising from like kind exchange transaction by other than partner direct owners).Case reference #1593454212
When preparing returns, it would be great if one could go back to forms / input screens that have been accessed - sequentially, with a "back" button. This retraces the steps the preparer has taken to that point, rather than having to try to remember the screens that have been recently accessed. This would be a great help, as often one forgets what forms one has been looking at (e.g. "I see something on this form that seems to impact what I was just looking at on another form. But what form was I looking at?") I think this would be a great feature on Lacerte, which could be implemented with minimal programming (I think).
Our 2021 and 2022 Intuit Link has all our S-Corps, C-Corps and Partnership client. I know Intuit Link is only for Individuals and I think Trusts so I am not sure why they are in there but now I have too go through one by one about 200 clients and make each one Inactive. This will take days to fix because I have to do it in between all my other work that has to be done. Just seems like unnecessary work since the program is not doing what it is suppose to do, very frustrating! Its tax season and who has time for this. This program needs some work on your end. Please fix it.
If there is any adjustment of tax due for CA PTE Tax adjusted from payments other than CA FORM 3893 (CA PTET Payment) it needs to be adjusted with the payments line 27 of CA 100 X, as this does not flow properly in Pro series from TY , if there is any overpayment or especially if there is a payment applied toward next year estimated taxes.
You can put it in the column currently reserved for the pointless box 3 Non-dividend distribution box and move THAT to the Dividend Income worksheet. 1099A dividends are quite common.
Want to have the option to set prefilled form with data to apply to all new or transferred tax returns.some info or all the same to all clients, and some fields we would like to have it set as estimated.
I would like to have more print package sets.file signature fromfiling copy, when mailing the return.client copy with statementpreparer copy with worksheetscopies to share with third-party on clients' request.
Create feature to that allows tax professionals to export a report from their client database that will show which clients have an IRS ID Theft Protection Pin, not the PIN itself, just that the PIN was assigned by the IRS. I would be helpful to have this a resource from one year to the next to be sure the PINs are received from the taxpayers each year rather than waiting for the return to reject after e-filing.
