It is just one character. Using dates, it is 15 keystrokes. Think about it.
Many in TX are opening up individual multiple franchise state accounts what require different state taxpayer numbers, different file numbers, different SIC codes and different NASIC numbers and different officer/owners listings on their forms. Many have multiple businesses and rental properties that need separate state franchise filings. Your program will not accommodate these multiple filings but only allows one state return to TX what wants to combine rental income with contractor and other diverse income into one that will not allow multiple codes and taxpayer numbers. Husband and Wife need separate filings. Also the first webfile number TX assigns an LLC for its first filing is a QT number, not an XT number. Your program does not allow for this number.
In Lacerte I am able to Print any form I want when viewing the form. There should be an option to print form when looking at the form under the check return tab. I should not have to print to pdf to be able to print only one page of a specific form.
when an Alaskan exempt organization has the need to file a 990 - t , they must also need to file a form 6000 with the state of Alaska - a diagnostic warning sb made for anyone with this requirement. Lacerte should have the form 6000 as an automatic part of the preparation. it appears i now have to make them a c corp filing and pay more, they must file electronically or pay a fine. i still do not know what the penalties for all the returns i did not file, i didn't know there was even a requirement to file. most of my returns will owe no tax as their is a 25k threshold, thank god - please add this to your todo list - tx
We need support for Local forms in Oregon. As of now, you do not provide the form MET-40 for the Metro income tax or the from MC-40 Multnomah County Income tax form. Additionally, we need to be able to e-file these forms AND the City of Portland form SP and the state forms TM and LTD for transit self-employment taxes. We are paper filing all 5 of these local returns and are forced to hand prepare some of them.
I have $35 In-state municipal bonds (exempt interest), of which the state (CA) amount is $1. In the " In-state municipal bonds (percentage or amount)", I entered 1, the program treated as 100%, i.e. 35.The workaround is to enter 0.02857, but this is too cumbersome. There are two ways to solve the problem. One is to make dollar amount and percentage as two fields, and the other is to use number as dollar amount, and number with % sign as a percentage, for example, 1 for 1 dollar and 100% for one hundred percent.
Nonresidents without US withholding requirements have up to June 15 to file their taxes. However, the system is currently preventing us from entering a date after April 18, even though the default date the system enter is June 15. This needs to be fixed. The idea applies to the **payment due date** on the return **and** the **extension**.
Hi there,Can you please add mapping to automatically add in to Individual returns their CA LLC Efile Form (if need be), as well as a Form 114a (if need be). I would love to also be able to have a separate area where the client's can go to their Vouchers and Estimates directly to pay (?). I would be happy to have a drop down tab for me to add those in for them to review if you couldn't automatically map that. If the client could somehow be directed to a link to where they need to pay those vouchers or Estimates that would be amazing. LASTLY please make a fillable Tax Organizer. The E Organizers are an exe file and client's cannot get into them. The security is too tight and it doesn't explain very well how to work it. PLUS client's that have a MAC cannot use.THANK YOU THANK YOU. Been hoping for this for years. Thank you so much.
Definitely need to add Muti Factor Authentication for the DMS program. Especially given all the hacks taking place, it is concerning the DMS program does not have this added safety feature.
Thank you, Jocelyn. You cheerfully fixed the technical issue our company was having with our 2020 program. We sincerely thank you for your expertise and getting us back on track!JanetC&A Associates II Inc
First, it needs to be integrated into Lacerte better with an indicator box somewhere in the “client information” screen. Without this, our support staff has no way of knowing how the client wants to receive the return. We have resorted to sticky notes while we are otherwise paperless. Also, the embedded client letter is wrong and makes no sense. The letter needs to be based on how they are executing the return. Overall, this is a step backwards for us. With the indicator, we should be able to set up a column to display showing the client’s desire. This same box should be proforma to the following year. We should also be able to sort (F3) for clients with this box checked.Next, there needs to be integrations with DMS and SmartVault. For a paper return, we have our “complete return” settings to also send a copy to SV. With e-signature we must manually remember to send a return there. This is an extra step and added risk. This is also a step backward for us. Not only should e-signature send everything they send to the client to SV, it should also send the client reply with a copy of the e-signed authorization form to SV. Both these issues seem like a primary need – we have more suggestions, like sorting clients by last name, but without this very basic improvement, we remain unsatisfied to suggest it’s use or consider additional products. We would appreciate a response and a person who understands this to speak with. Thank you
Please work on correct flow to the Portland business forms. There are a number of issues that require manual override that could very easily flow. Including shareholder wages and w-2 that was already marked as earned in OR.
