When a disposition of investments is input as JOINT... federal schedule D is fine. But for PA, Lacerte is taking 50% of the gain to (T) and 50% to (S) schedule D. But Lacerte is printing 100% of the sales price and cost on each of the 2 schedule Ds (does not crossfoot)(should use 50% instead). The PA gain taxable gain is correct but the PA sales price and cost is doubled.I believe this problem started in tax year 2019 or 2020 but PA did not notice until tax year 2021. I have several PA notices from this error.
Oregon will not allow the election into the OR-PTE rate to be changed on an amended return. Without the ability to force the form and the higher tax that may result, Lacerte is absolutely useless and the amended OR return will need prepared outside of Lacerte and paper filed.
