PAY ESTIMATED TAXES AS A SEPARATE EFILE FROM EXTENSION AND RETURN EFILING

It would be very helpful if we could file estimated tax payments for 1040s separately and apart from doing an extension or filing the return.  With High Net worth individuals, we often have a better idea of what the tax estimate will be far after the extension is filed but well before we have all the minor information needed to complete the return.

I found out after I filed the extension that I could only E- file the estimated taxes with the

E-Filed return filing.  Also it would be great if you removed the mailing notice with the IRS address at the bottom of the 1040ES forms when we have elected to E-File the estimated tax payments.

I think that's an IRS thing and not an Intuit thing.

Estimates can be paid online through IRS Direct Pay.

The more I know the more I don’t know.

I would like to hear from Intuit if it is possible. I have elderly clients and they wish that I do all the payments for them.  It would be nice to incorporate a off date estimated tax payment for the client in the event they have for example as sale of a closely held Co. for $10M.

"I would like to hear from Intuit if it is possible"

Pretty much impossible on this forum. I doubt calling Support would find any one knowledgeable enough to answer.

The more I know the more I don’t know.

Set up the payments on IRS Direct Pay. They can be scheduled.

Additional ones can be added.

The more I know the more I don’t know.

But not when it comes to the wishing well.  Someone from Intuit will stop in sometime within the next few months to tell everyone that this idea is open for voting! 😉

I was going to say that but I just recently got off probation again and didn't want to get placed back on probation or life in prison ------------- whatever the next step is for me.
