extension payments should automatically transfer to payments screen
There are two issues I'm seeing:
- Payments made with extensions - Federal and State - don't transfer to the payments screen. It's as if it never happened.
I have to manually verify that the "Electronic payment of tax due with extension" was checked and then enter that in the payments screen. - If I set up estimated quarterly taxes via account debit, these also don't automatically transfer to the payments screen.
We shouldn't have to manually confirm that estimated or extension payments were made. I missed one and accidentally told a client he owed more than he did. He asked about the extension payments he made. I double checked and found we did make payments with the extensions. As a result he owed significantly less.
Proconnect should know payments were made.
That was needlessly embarrassing.
