extension payments should automatically transfer to payments screen

There are two issues I'm seeing:

 

  1. Payments made with extensions - Federal and State - don't transfer to the payments screen. It's as if it never happened.

    I have to manually verify that the "Electronic payment of tax due with extension" was checked and then enter that in the payments screen.

  2. If I set up estimated quarterly taxes via account debit, these also don't automatically transfer to the payments screen. 

We shouldn't have to manually confirm that estimated or extension payments were made. I missed one and accidentally told a client he owed more than he did. He asked about the extension payments he made. I double checked and found we did make payments with the extensions. As a result he owed significantly less. 

Proconnect should know payments were made.


That was needlessly embarrassing.

ProSeries transferred the payments entered for estimated tax payments provided they were set for auto-debit at least 10 years ago.

I'm just looking for my even-more-expensive Proconnect to do what ProSeries did.

The fewer things we have to enter, the better.

Frankly, I don't care if the debits failed or the account was closed. If I e-file with the quarterly payments that don't match they adjust it.
