Anyone else getting this message trying to EFILE? "Unable to get response from the Government Agency. Please try again later CRA T1 EFILE service failed at return Code=500"

yes same here, it was a couples return. The husbands went through but not the wife. Thank goodness its a refund..but still frustrating

We are getting the error too but if you keep trying, after 5-7 time the file should get accepted.

IT WORKS !!! Just keep hitting Efile -  I pushed two returns through after abou t7-9 tries each. Frustrating but doable. Profile just posted a pop up message about the error blaming CRA... imagine....lol. 6 hours 37 mins to go...

called CRA at 647pm ... in Ontario .. says Profile is the issue and its been down for hours thier phones are jammed with calls. No idea when will be resolved. Am printing off the error messages what more can be done? great timing maybe its the universe saying we really did need an extension to the deadline after all??

I am out in BC and called CRA e-file help desk a couple of hours ago and was told I needed to contact Profile.That was advice they were given from CRA head office.  I tried calling Profile but wait is too long.  I guess I  will just keep trying.

I'm getting the same error code.  Is this a CRA issue or a Profile issue?  Have many late clients that owe.

yes, it took me way long to efile 15 reports I had ready. Just kept trying by the batch. I'd say i efiled the batch about 15 times before all of them were accepted.

Yes I am too, after a couple of hours it let me efile 1 return and then the next one was back to error code 500.

Yes - I kept trying and got one of the spouses filed but am still trying (hours later) to get the other one through.

Tried the last one 30 times no luck, have not been able to do anything for 3 hours - is Profile saying anything? It's not just us must be thousands of people. Maybe they could speak for all of us to CRA so we don't waste the time . At least Profile could say in writing its CRA not Profile.  Oh well might as well get a coffee, will be long night.
