At this time, we do not have an estimated timeline for all fixes. With the current 2025.2.04 release, the following items are included in the update:

  • 2025 EasyACCT Indiana Tax Table Incorrect
  • 2025 Easyacct Unable to Delete a Payroll Check in Manual Processing
  • 2025 Easyacct Information Return System Shows Incorrect Mailing Address for Form 940-V and 943-V
  • 2025 EasyACCT Information Return System Crashes when Check box to Print Form
  • 2025 EasyAcct - W-2/1099 Transfer Utility crashes program when destination Company ID exists in IRS data path
  • EasyAcct Transactions not posting to Sales Journal

Check out this support article on how to install the update:

Hi @amihaly thanks for commenting on the release post! As @Lucius stated we would recommend restoring a back up of the file and then check the payroll. Here are some support articles that would help with this:

Restoring the automatic backup created during either conversion or update in EasyACCT

How to back up and restore EasyACCT company data

Hi @anonymous2026 Thanks for posting here! 940s are not able to be e-filed yet, 941s are being held and will be forwarded as soon as e-filing is ready for the program.

For those afraid of updates:

1. Payroll missing previously is back, like Dec 2025's payroll. Do suggest do a restore for the very last backup file right before it is converted to the first version of 2025/2026. Restore it and open it and let it convert by the newest 2025/2026 version. I assume one of the 2025/2026 versions damaged the company file while restoring.

2. Loading, review and print processing time obviously and slightly shorten.

3. Employees whose last name started with "Z" are still not listed on Earnings Report and their earnings are thus excluded, though the total on last page is correct.

4. Unable to print earnings report sorted by Department.

Please add more what you have found.

Installed the latest update and we are STILL experiencing these issues (all of these issues are not present on release 2025.01.06):

-After restoring client's backup, attempting to run an earnings report is unsuccessful. Returns the message : The following error has occurred: With the error number: 0 Please exit EasyACCT and try again.

-Existing client company maintained on our system: attempting to print the a Balance Sheet financial statement returns this error: Printing Options Error: 6 Overflow. After clicking OK and returning to the Employees information part of the program, all employees are gone.

Hi @JAWILL80 Thanks for posting here! We have captured the feedback and appreciate you leaving this for us. We checked with support on the Printing Options Error: 6 Overflow and were given a support article that might help with this:

Already tried the steps referenced in this link. It is not a data issue. It is an EasyACCT issue. Something that changed after version 2025.1.06 is the culprit. This issue is not experienced on the machine running that version with the same restored company. This issue happens on all pc's that have later versions like 2025.2.04 when this company is restored.

Still having issues with accounts receivable customers list.  The customers are back but you cant search by name and if you put in the company number it crashes.  General Ledger accounts still missing!

It appears that the missing employees in payroll reports was resolved in today's update.  I was told that another update may be coming out tomorrow (Friday) that will hopefully resolve the A/R GL distribution problems.

Error code 54 still shows when trying to efile form 940. No acknowledgements received yet on forms 941. I have e-filed a form 941 through QB desktop and it was accepted. Can you tell us why we are not receiving acknowledgements yet?  Thank you.

Hi @vscpanm Thanks for asking about the 940s and 941s. 940s are not able to be e-filed yet and will produce Error code 54 when trying to e-file. 941s are able to be sent, however are being held and will be forwarded as soon as e-filing is ready for the program.

Thank you. My 941s have now all been accepted, even the older ones. Please let us know when the 940s will be allowed to efile. We appreciate the updates.

Kathi,

So this update does not address the extended process/print times? That is the biggest issue for us.

Hi @VPMgmtMike Thank you for your comment. A previous release included updates intended to address processing and print performance; however, based on feedback received in the community, this behavior is currently being re-evaluated.

@Kathi_at_Intuit

Out of genuine curiosity and transparency, are there any testing being done in the back-end before these updates are being released? What does that process look like? We are constantly being told that it's being looked into and it will be fixed, but it seems like these updates do not address the vast majority of the issues that are supposedly being conveyed to your developers/engineers.

Still experiencing overly slow processing and loading times. It looks like they haven't addressed this issue yet.

They didn't address any of the issues we are having.. still extremely slow, sales journals are not posting, missing payroll entries..

Hi @kwangmoklee Thanks for commenting on this post! For the payroll missing, we would recommend restoring a prior backup of the file. @Lucius  comment is a great suggestion. We would then check Payroll and Sales Journals. Here are some helpful articles for restoring a backup:

How to back up and restore EasyACCT company data

If there is still something going on with Sales Journals and Payroll, please report back here so we are able to capture the feedback and report back to the appropriate teams.

New Issue: "unable to create a company back up. Files are currently being updated by another user."

Will not open client. All users are logged out and client is not open anywhere.

This has happened to me in the past. I thought one of my employees had forgotten to log off. I solved the problem by restarting the server.

Still having trouble copying or restoring backups for certain companies. It affects some but not all. Can't figure out the commonality of the ones that don't work.
