S Corp installment sale - for part of the sale. I allocated the selling price to the different classes of assets do I have to do the 6252 for each asset class or is there a way to bulk the SP and the principal payments recieved to 1 asset class?

Allocated sale price to each asset class = on the 8594?

You can do a bulk sale in Lacerte but you may not get the correct result - ordinary income, 1245 depreciation recap[ture, etc.

The more I know the more I don’t know.

The sale price is allocated to everything as agreed in the purchase document(s). Are the assets being sold at different times in the transition, or part of the full package? If not...

The payments are installments against the debt or note, not against specific purchase items.

There is no “part of the sale” for an installment sale. Installment is a payment agreement, not the sale. It’s the banking, not the sale.

If you go to the grocery store and buy groceries on a credit card, your payment(s) don’t get allocated to the lettuce first, then the bread, then maybe the fruit. It’s against the amount you owe.

yes, you must allocate each asset class on the #6252. Usually buyer and seller fill out form 8594 also.
