Reporting 1099Q distributions
Usually the 1099Q is reported on the parent's return when the student is a dependent on the parent's return. However, does it matter who the recipient is.... or who the beneficiary is as to where to report the distribution? What if there is taxable earnings? Does it now go on the student's individual return?
