retired officer can exclude about to $3k from reported pension if money used by plan administrator to pay health insurance. Question is whether the state of Massachusetts allows the exclusion. MA works off of 2005 federal statutes and this exclusion was part of 2006 health care. If MA doesn't allow it, how do you adjust the pension on the state return? It doesn't pro series allows for such an adjustment on the state return.
