Pro Series makes me have to print/save/attach the form 4868 to every NJ tax return. Why can't Pro Series software automatically attach Form 4868 to the NJ-1040?

    I think someone else complained about that recently.  If you do a search you might be able to find it.  If it was posted in the Intuit wishing well, you can always add your vote to try and make your wishes come true some day.

      It was me who previously complained.  Don't understand why ProSeries (PS) can't automatically attach the 4868 since it is already in the federal form all filled out and the software is asking me to manually print, copy, upload it to every NJ return I prepare.  It takes up time in tax season that doesn't make sense.  PS will automatically attach other forms to a return, this is unbelievably basic for them to be able to do.  What am I missing?

      I guess the similar question is why do you have to manually attach pdfs of non-resident returns when filing multiple state returns?  The software comes up with an error if you don't do it, so why can't it just do it on its own?
