Mileage between more than one business

My client owns three separate businesses as a sole proprietor. When he travels between them, where does he take the mileage deduction, for the one he is leaving or the one he is going to?

    I don't think it would matter, but I would take them on business he is traveling to, because the expense is incurred due to the fact there would be no expense if he didn't have to go to the 2nd business
