Is the Tesla Model 3 Ineligible For The EV Tax Credit In Tax Year 2022?

In July, 2018, Tesla sold and delivered more than 200,000 electric vehicles in the US, as a result, the $7,500 IRS tax credit that buyers were eligible for is no longer valid.

I know the rules are changing for 2023, however if a client purchased a Tesla in October, 2022, according to what I've read, they can not take the credit for tax year 2022.

Said client, said "all my friends are taking it!"

Hear that  a lot!

There are tabs there, to help, because there are at least three ways to check on this. By year purchased, by year in service, and whether it is used or new. For instance, one requirement changed in August 2022 (location of final assembly).
