I have not received but 2 acknowledgements today from all the returns filed. Is there a problem in the system? or it is just the government shutdown?

    I have the same question. I have only received one acknowledgement of acceptance. I am starting to worry about the ones just sitting there.

      Yesterday the IRS had one person, a one eyed dog and an iguana left to run the place.  I heard the dog quit this morning so the staffing is even smaller.  As long as everything was submitted timely, you don't need to sweat it, you just need to be patient.
