Form 1099-A for a small business owner

I have a small business Schedule C Client. with a 1095-A.  Using ProSeries If I link the 1095-A to Schedule C, an income adjustment comes up on form 1040 equaling the premium tax credit column.  Can someone please explain this?  It does not happen if the client does have not a Schedule C.  Pub 974 is unreadable..

    Does it equal the premium tax credit amount, or the amount the taxpayer paid after the allowable credit?

    The more I know the more I don’t know.
