It's been a while, but I believe it had to be mailed. Why do you need to do both?

client was resident for 5 months then continued to receive income from his company for remainder of 2024 in Florida, hence received income from NJ employer.

Protax gives me error message when trying to efile both returns.

I dont believe wages earned in Florida should be taxable in NJ

Just file part year resident, and allocate income. you can't file resident, and part year resident for same client same year.

File both a PY Resident and NR return.     Not eligible for efile

    1.  Complete Part XI of info worksheet and prepare federal return

2  Complete allocations... There will be a question in NJ return if you received income from nj sources during NR period.   If you answer yes, there's a quick zoom to allocation

3 When you print returns, PS will print both PY and NR returns.

Edit:  I thought you were using proseries   Process may be different but not eligible efile and you have to  send  PY and NR for NJ

If at first you don’t succeed…..find a workaround
