While Kansans will still be allowed to deduct an abortion.

I'm sure some day we will have a question posted about a woman who moved from Georgia to Kansas . . .

So do preparers need to see a fetal MRI of the baby to give them the deduction?  It looks like some folks are already pointing out potential pitfalls with the law.

“So what happens when you claim your fetus as a dependent and then miscarry later in the pregnancy, you get investigated both for tax fraud and an illegal abortion?”

Guess Georgia doesn't require a SSN to claim a 'dependent'?

Maybe they are going to require an EIN (Embryo Identification Number) 😉

And does Georgia have EIC questions/worksheet/due diligence requirements like CA does?   That'll be interesting.
