college kid claimed himself.

College kid claimed himself. efiled and got refund.  Mom and dad efile and claim him as a dependent.

Their return gets rejected due to kid filing himself.  Can kid amend and make himself a dependent and

mom and dad file a paper return?

            Not the first time this has happened. Good idea to do both the parents returns and the kids returns if possible.

              Not the first time? Really? I can't imagine it ever happening before.  But I enjoy the knee-jerk reaction of some people, to blame the kid.  How old is he? How much income?  Do the parents even get a $500 credit?
