Can a green card holder who married a US citizen in 2021 file MFJ.

Also can she get the recovery rebate?

    Yes they can file MFJ.

    If they didn't have the green card all year this would mean they elect to pay US tax on their worldwide income for the year.

    The more I know the more I don’t know.
