California return - taxpayer full year resident, spouse part year resident
Spouse received a green card in May of 2022 and moved to CA, didn't have insurance coverage for first five months of year. I am trying to file MFJ on the 540, but can't figure out how to exempt the spouse for the penalty on not having coverage for those 5 months.
Is there a way to do this on the 540, or do I have to file a 540NR?
