Arizona Does Rebates. (Badly)

Better late than never.  Trying to keep up with California's program last year.  Has anyone else noticed, now California is dealing with a $31 billion budget deficit?  For those who don't keep up with Arizona politics, we have a Republican legislature and a Democratic governor.  So, the compromise state budget has the worst of both worlds.

What a small world.  The tax guy they mentioned in the article has the same name as you.  What are the odds of that happening? 😉

Montana is doing operations badly, so that it can do rebates well. A $1B surplus, even after dropping income tax rates, will be refunded via income and property tax rebates. It's easy to do; just stop funding essential functions.

MN has a $20 billion surplus so the Democrats (who have a trifecta over House/Senate/Gov) will likely not rebate a dime and will keep Social Security taxes in place for seniors..as well as raise $5 billion in new taxes over the next biennium.

And if they do rebate any $, it's not going to those who actually created the surplus. They get nothing.

But you and your $3 million trust are leaving Mn so why would you care?
