American Opportunity Credit

My client is 29 started college again. When she was 18-21she went to school but never finished. She is not sure if her parents claimed the AOC. Is she eligible to claim the AOC?

    She needs to find out if the parents claimed it.  You only get 4 years so they certainly could have used all of them already but maybe their income was too high to qualify.

      If she is not eligible for AOC, she likely is eligible for the lifetime learning credit
