Why when carrying forward a 2023 to 2024 for a single shows another No name return

Hi,

When carrying forward a 2023 to 2024 the 2024 return showing a No name return for the 2nd return especially for a widowed person even though the marital status has been widow for few previous years. this is causing issues when auto fill the return and printing showing to print the No name return. will this issue be resolved in the next update?

I had a similar issue.

Carried forward (using carryforward on the task bar) 2023 tax returns for a couple.  The SIN number of husband was missing in 2024 and it opened two 2024 tax returns for the wife.

 

Had to close Profile without saving those returns, opened the file in 2023 then carried forward to 2024 within the 2023 return (i.e. did not use the task bar option).  It worked.

The next year after the year of death, you need to uncouple the returns.
