Question

How do I file a tax return for someone who is married but the husband is from India, never came to Canada? Do I add my client as married and file her tax as a couple?

You must still file as married and add the non-resident spouse income on the info screen. This will be used to calculate income tested benefits such as GST credit, Child Tax Benefit, etc.
