GST/HST credit for 18 year old?

I have a single client with no kids, DOB 2003-02-28. Net income $10,692.38. Profile letter says she will receive a GST credit of $319.13, payable in quarterly instalments of $79.78 in July and October 2021 and in January and April 2022.

Is this correct? She is 18 today (April 26/21) and will turn 19 in February 2022.

You are correct.  The client won't be eligible for the GST credit until they turn 19 yrs old. Thus they will qualify to receive it in the 4th quarter (April 2022).

This is from a competitor's software that I'm using which validates this.

Yes, I believe kozakworld meant 2022.

My work around: I had edited the letter manually to remove the total amount and the 4 payments, and tell the taxpayer about the one payment.

Just had a similar issue. Just wonder if Profile developer team can help make improvement on this issue so can help us process tax returns more efficiently.

Hey Snowblaster, this issue is from last year. I ran into it again this month with another first time filer. I don't expect Intuit to make this fix. As a work around I just make a manual adjustment to the letter. I've already made arrangements to not experience this next year.  ;)
