Anybody else having problems with Auto-fill your Return?

I tried Auto-fill My Return (AFR) on 3 returns (including my own) today. I was getting the following message:

 

"CRA Data Import.

Hang tight while we import your date into Profile.

Your session with the CRA's online services did not initiate or timed out. Please close this window or try again."

 

Just in case, I deleted all the cookies, but it was still impossible to use the AFR feature. However, I was able to access clients' T4 and other slips using "Represent the Client".

I wonder, is this Profile's or CRA's issue? I'd appreciate any input.

Having the same issue. Efile password is up-to-date and RepID is filled in and correct.

I am having the same issue. I can log into CRA represent a client. When I try to autofill I receive the same message as you.

Auto fill is not available from 5 Feb to 6 am, 22 Feb. (Received on email from CRA 11 Jan 2021.)

I don't remember receiving such a message from the CRA-could you copy & paste it, please?

However, on Thursday, February 11, 2021, I successfully auto-filled my client's returns for 2016-2019.

I called Profile last week, the fellow says it's Profile program.  Have spoken to others using another program and they can auto fill. 

Has this been resolved with Profile yet?

Hasn't resolved for me.  I spoke with Profile and they say its a CRA issue.  I spent 3 hours with CRA and they say everything works. I downloaded new profile update today and CRA did system maintenance yesterday and still nothing

After the updates, I restarted everything and now it works.  So frustrating but now happy that it finally works.

happening agian--I did 2 this morning with no problems--then just went to do another and got "timed out or did not initiate "

Something wierd as just did 3 more clients and all downloaded no problem, went back to original client and get message cannot initate or whatever so glitch somewhere in system

Hi, thank you for using Intuit ProFile Community

The ProFile side is working, AFR is working in ProFile 2020.3.5. Other factors affecting the process are internet options, antivirus programs blocking the CRA ProFile connection.

Also the default browser may also be an issue, there is an article here

Do you have a Represent a Client Account?  If not get one as it seamlessly works well for me

Of course I did, but it had nothing to do with the issue. 

 

In fact, I strongly believe that it should be possible to prevent anyone from becoming your representative, not only after your CRA account is compromised. Or, better yet, the CRA should enable you to create a special password which you would have to give to anyone whom you're going to authorize to access your CRA account. That would be a simple, yet very effective solution to prevent unauthorized individuals from accessing you CRA account. The CRA should have thought about that long ago; alas, the words "government" and "thinking" are often miles apart.

Still having problems with Auto-Fill, and a few other things.  finally down loaded software again as I was told this would fix the problem.  At last...it did not.  still having problems.

Hello Turbo Tax,

 

I couldn't do AFMR for my 2020 on line tax return. This is the message:

 

Auto-fill my return will be available on February 22, 2021 from the CRA. Come back to this page any time after that date to import your tax slips.

The are no current issues with AFR on either the ProFile or CRA side at this time.

I am trying to autofill 2021 tax returns. I get a message saying cannot initiate or timed out session. 

Have access though Rep a client. ??
