Working in ProSeries. How do you enter the amount from a 1099nec in schedule 1, line 8j? I've entered the 1099 as other income but it does not flow to stock options, line 8j. How to make that happen.

Working on a 2021 return. I have entered the 1099NEC and selected other income. How do I get that figure to flow to schedule 1, line 8J, stock options? Can’t find any instructions on that. Thanks.

You enter it on the other income statement line 24A. You will have to override that line 24A to enter the amount (intuit never fixed the program so you could make an entry in line 24A) You cannot efile the return from 2021, so the override will not matter

Agree with Terry, just use Override (right click on Line 8j) to put it where it goes. I tried to chase it back to a point of origin, but I got stuck on an Employer Stock Compensation Income worksheet, that I couldnt figure where the figures flow to it from, for them to flow to line 8j..
