Why would the asset life history start in a different year than what was put into software?
Entered new S-Corp client's assets into ProSeries and when I look at the asset life history to make sure it's calculating depreciation correctly with the previous depreciation, it's taking depreciation in the previous year (2022) but the asset wasn't put into the business until 2023. I'm not sure why this is happening and I don't know how to correct it. Any help here would be great!
