why is the 1040 form still saying not ready for e-file, and when I try to update it says no updates available?

I have returns completed and need to send them, but the 1040 and Schedules still say not ready for e-file.  I run the update for installed products and no updates are available.

    Close ProSeries and use REPAIR UPDATES from the Windows programs/apps menu from the Win Start button, something has gone screwy with the regular updates feature.

    This is for a different tax year, but all years of ProSeries have this option

    There’s an issue with Schedule C that could be the cause.
